Whitney Houston's 1991 World Tour, began in April in the States. It was far from a disaster, but the reaction of the paying customers was mixed -not surprising after the relatively poor sales of her 3rd album. It is likely that the sharp change of pace was a disappointment to many of the fans who had made the first two albums so very successful. However, if I'm Your Baby Tonight was not exactly the album that the world wanted her to make, it was certainly a big step towards it, and her fans were soon to come flooding back to her - and more besides.
