Divas Las Vegas
Last night at VH1's Divas Las Vegas broadcast live from
the MGM Grand,
Mary J. Blige gave a powerful performance of her hit song
"Rainy Dayz," and was briefly joined by her friend Whitney Houston
for the song's ending. Houston blew kisses to the crowd,
then left the stage for the night.

Whitney in the studio
Whitney is continuing to work hard on her next album which is due
August 6th and her official fan club says she will soon be
entering the studio with her good friend Babyface to work on a
few tracks.
In other album news, Radio 3 FM, a radio station
from the Netherlands, interviewed this morning a Dutch producer who said
he has been working on a track called "Believe"
for Whitney's new album. The DJ said that he thought Whitney was high
maintenance and that he disliked her attitude. The producer said that's what she
is like on the outside, but once you get to know her, she is a really nice lady.

VH1 Divas Live 2002
Whitney Houston has confirmed that she will
make an appearance at the VH1 Divas Live
2002 Show which will benefit "Save the Music".
Although Whitney is not the headlining diva
she will perform a song with Mary J. Blige.
Whitney said she is excited about the event.
The last time Whitney attended The Divas
show was in 1999 when she headlined the event.
She sang a song with Mary J saluting the
godmother of soul Aretha Franklin. (Source: VH1)

New album Release Date
CEO of Arista L.A. Reid who has worked with Whitney
on her new album, has confirmed that the release date will
be August 6th. Originally Arista expected the album to be released
in October but insiders say that Whitney has worked very hard
on beating the deadline. A video promotion for the album
is expected shortly. MTV backed up the information
by saying "Whitney promises the best is yet to come".
