The "Whitney" album also features 'I Know Him So
Well', a duet with Cissy which brings the album to a
very moving climax. "Whitney" contained
a total of 11 tracks, variously produced by Narada
Michael Walden, Jellybean, Michael Masser and
Kashif. Time magazine placed Whitney at the
forefront of what was at that time a renaissance of
female pop elegance reflected in Dionne Warwick's
"That's What Friends Are For", Barbra Streisand's
"The Broadway Album" as well as the rise of new
artists like Sade and Anita Baker.
